I often see people cite
interesting quotes in their presentation. Citing a good quote can entice the
audience. I recently saw a presentation with the following quote about the
statistics in dealing with uncertainties:

Carl Sagan??? While he certainly said this, he certainly was not the originator of this statement. This type of analysis of logic goes back to Aristotle. (And possibly earlier, although we don't have anything in print. Of course, absence of evidence...)
